Normandy Park Winter 2014 Group Schedule

All classes require sign up at the front desk. Sign up is available 1/2 hour prior to class start time. A portion of each class can be reserved one week in advance for a $1.00 fee. All classes are subject to change, cancellation or substitute instructor at any time. Please call 206-870-9000 to confirm if a class will be conducted. As we grow our class schedule will grow with us. We will always strive to bring you the best classes with the best instructors at times to meet our member's needs. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS



  RPM™ is the indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coaches who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training. Discover your athlete within
  BODYPUMP™ is hailed as The Fastest Way In The Universe To Get In Shape. BODYPUMP™ is a strength and endurance training class where muscle and music collide! Low on complexity but high in fun, BODYPUMP™ has all of the benefits of traditional weight training combined with time efficiency and predictability. EVERY BODY is successful in BODYPUMP™. Suitable for just about “EVERY BODY.”
  BODYFLOW™ Is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Come dance your way to a fitter you and have fun doing it! ZUMBA® is a
fusion of latin dance steps and aerobics. This class is great for blasting
calories, increasing abdominal strength while decreasing your waistline, and
learning new dance skills. ZUMBA® incorporates a wide variety of dance
styles and it's ok if you've never danced before. The only requirement for this
class is to have fun! Please wear comfy shoes (no running shoes) and bring a
water bottle if you need it. Come join the ZUMBA® party!
  Blending body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. Participants use weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm, build strength and tone all the target zones.
Build the foundation of yoga practice - learn various yoga postures, meditation
and breathing. Gain flexibility, strength, and balance.
  BOSU™ is an acronym for "both sides up". The BOSU® Balance Trainer is a half ball with a platform side and a dome shape side. You can perform movement on both sides, either standing, sitting, kneeling or on arms. The BOSU™ class will focus on the Pilates principles of balance, core stability and "other" muscles you haven't felt before in a totally different fashion and a great element of fun!
POWER CIRCUIT
Power circuit is a fun, dynamic intergrated workout that will challenge your body using different equipment. Balls, bands, handweights, step and some classes will use the BOSU balance trainer. Get ready to sweat !!

Turbo Kick is a combination of kickboxing moves, perfectly choreogrpphed to high energy and motivating music.. It's the ultimate cardiovascular challenge that's a unique blend of instense intervals strength/endurance training, and a relaxing cooldown. Turbo Kick requires no previous kickboxing experience or equipment. A calorie burner for sure !!
   Performed on a mat to strengthen core muscles, improve balance, increase
coordination and lengthen tight muscles. Benefits include core strength,
stability balance and overal flexibility. No previous experience necessary.
  The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that
leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform exercises. You're in control
of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you
can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance. This is a
fee based class. Participants can drop in for a fee or pay for a set of sessions.
It is pre-requisite to take the TRX Demos before taking sessions or drop in

Group Fitness Class Procedures
We will accept $1.00 reservations for the first 15 spots in ALL classes. All additional spots will be first come, first serve basis.
